Chapter 2
There are a lot of changes happening here at the
moment, Ian and I are expecting baby number 3 in June!
Back in February we held a meeting for those
interested in hedgehog rescue and as a result Jenny Hodgen and Morven Lawrie
will be taking over the caring side from me as soon as we can put all the
arrangements into place, thus allowing me to take a backseat and concentrate on
my expanding family.
The plan is to fundraise to provide Jenny with a
shed to accommodate up to six prickly patents and outside runs, Morven is going
to deal with hand rearing and the very young pricklys. Craig has offered to
help with building hog houses and John in whatever way he can. We will continue
to offer what help and support we can.
Due to both Jenny and Morven being new to hedgehogs
the plan is that we will continue for now to handle the phone calls and paper
work.
There should be very little change to the service
we provide as the vet we use will help with transporting hedgehogs between
Peebles (where Spike's began) to Biggar where Jenny and Morven will be able to
pick up their patents from. We will still be looking for fosterers and
volunteers.....
